A mysterious beauty with an
incredible past and lineage!
Lucinda was born to an Italian
Mother and Swedish Father one
Fall evening in October.
They lived in Switzerland at the
time and she was their first and
only child after years of trying.
Her mother Vittoria; an
art/design professor at the
prestigious University of
Lucerne; became interested in
sculpture and pottery on her
own after marrying Luc St. John
and opened up her own studio
and gallery.
Lucinda's father, a noted
surgeon and speaker at the
University of Applied
Sciences/Northwest
Switzerland, Continues to make
strides in cardiology and
respiratory studies.
Lucinda's roots and thirst for
knowledge and adventure do not
stop there... Her maternal
grandparents ran a secondary art
school for girls in Italy and while
Vittoria was going to this school,
she happened to meet her
husband, Lucinda's father while
they were both at a museum
one weekend during those mod
days of the 60's! It was love at
first sight... they both finished
school and were married the
following Autumn.
Lucinda must have inherited a
little bit of her parents,
grandparents and the royal
lineage of her great grandparents
- the Count and Countessa of
Venice, Italy; for she has the art
and design talents that come so
easy as well as the craving for
knowledge in the world of the
sciences - both of the human
body and the earth!
Lucinda went to pre-college in Italy for art, in NYC at the well known
Parson's school of design for her fashion design degree and in
Switzerland for a two year degree in anatomy and organic biology!
Lucinda travels the world with her ever absorbing quest for art and
design... she has walked the runway in Europe for fashion designers
both in her circle of friends and as 'a favor' to up and coming fashion
mavens!
Her art work is seen in galleries from Italy to NYC! She displays in her
mother's gallery, Le Maison de Lausanne, along with teaching anatomy
and traditional drawing classes at her almamater in Italy during her
summers off!
Lucinda is hounded by the designers to walk the runways of Europe -
they cannot understand how she can 'dabble' in this and 'get her toes
wet' in that... she simply explains "I love everything I do - why do I have
to do one thing only!?!" As they look at her puzzled and scratch their
heads at this 5'11" beauty, so statuesque with her deep chestnut hair and
blue grey eyes. Never seeming to tire of running here and flying there -
all to accomodate a friends need or a teaching position or a speaking
engagement.
This 25 year old fresh out of
college only one year before,
continues to grow as a person
and lives her life as she pleases,
but seems to please everyone
wherever she goes.
