A
Fashion Royalty
DIVA
2005 Convention Something Cool Isha makeover by Pink Man
Isha - All she needs to announce her entrance
is her first name and nothing else.
Just one look at her and it is easy to
understand why so many Fashion Royalty
collectors have become fast fans of this
ravishing beauty.

From her glowing bronzed skin, gorgeous hair
and soft features.
Isha is a treasure from her homeland of India.
Gorgeous repaint on Something Cool Isha
by Lisa Ramsammy
The first time I saw the actual
Isha doll, was during the
International Fashion Doll
Convention in Las Vegas, Nv.

A very good friend and I were
having a ball as we went through
the sales room.  Seeing all the
one of a kind creations along
with all the factory made dolls
was a treat.

When we arrived at Integrity
Toys display table, we headed
straight for Isha.
There she was "Riveting Premiere" indeed.  Her ensemble was amazing enoug.  However, the doll itself
captivated us.  I actually dropped to my knees to get a closer look.  As I examined her, I found myself itching to
repaint her!  Don't take this the wrong way, she's lovely as she is.  It's just that new face molds are a repaint
artists' dream.

Her luxurious hair frames her
face perfectly, yet I found
myself wanting to cut it.  Yes,
I'm a scissor sniper!

Some time after the Vegas trip,
I received my Riveting Premiere
Isha.  Once again the urge to
repaint this lovely lady came
upon me.  Most of the dolls that
I collect for my personal
collection are kept intact and in
their original state.

I waited for a couple weeks.
However, the makeover muse
ended up winning over.

Maybe I should have placed her
safely inside my doll cabinet -
LOL
I had her standing on my
painting table.  That was my
mistake.

I held my breath as I carefully removed her face paint, making sure that I left her blushed cheeks intact.  I
began painting as I always do, with the eyes being first.  Once I have the whites of the eyes and the eye liner
on, I choose the color for the irises.  An electric blue came to mind.  Even though blue eyes are not my
strong point, I just had to try it out with her skin tone.
For her lips, I chose meatallic garnet and I highlighted them with metallic champagne and frosted burgundy.
Metallic and frosted colors have become a trademark of mine lately.
I have heard many people remarking on her wonderful cascading curls.  But I just had to change it up by
changing it.  I started by relaxing and loosening the culrs by rinsing with warm tap water.  Then I used my
on snip cutting method and voila!  A new voluminous hairstyle full of body and loose curls was created.  All I
need to do was to apply some bed head hair wax to control faly aways and she was ready for a photo shoot.
As I was taking her pictures I kpet thinking of a song that I could use for her web page.
A tradition of mine is to use music to help introduce my repaints.
It helps to set the mood and illuminates the attitude and personality that the doll has.

For my Isha makeover, I chose Michael Buble'.  A fantastic song called "Feeling Good" (a very good friend
turned me on to his music and I'm thankful for it).
Feel free to visit her webpage and check out this awesome vocal artist.

Malina showing just how
much a slight hairstyle
alteration can do to change her
appearance.

Nothing was cut or curled to
change her style.  The hair
was simply placed differently
by using my fingers to achieve
the style I wanted.  A little bit
of bed head hair wax and
wonders can be worked with
the hair remaining soft and
manageable!
Finally we have the wondrous photography of
Michelle Michael
to conclude Isha's showcase.
