| This is "JUKU" GINZA GIRL She made her debut in Las Vegas in 2005 This popular little line of dolls are lovingly created via the collaborative efforts of Stef Baumler and myself. We offer one each year and they can only be found during sales day at the convention. Creating a Ginza Girl each year has become a tradition of sorts for us. I came across the idea to create Ginza Girls from Fashion Dolls on my way home from the very first IFDC in Dallas, Texas in 2003 I was on the plane reading an issue of 'W' magazine and there was an expose' of sorts with many amazing photographs of these wonderfully animated and colofully painted models |

| GROOVY GINZA To the right you can see the very first Ginza Girl that Stef and I created. The base doll is the old Alyssa/Charice face mold on a belly button barbie body. When I was going through the decision making process of how I was to go about bringing these ladies into reality, I contacted a few of my good doll buddies. Most of them thought that these girls just wouldn't fly, so my initial requests for collaboration partners failed. There were two that were excited about them however and due to time contraints, Stef and I turned up at the IFDC 2004 with Groovy Ginza and the rest is history! |
